Money!

Money!

Money! We all love to spend money. As you go through this lesson you will learn about the history of money, how and where money is made, how to add money and take some time to imagine what you would do if you had a lot of money.

Victory Garden

Victory Garden

Way to go! Now let’s have some fun. We are going to learn about seeds and plants. This is a great time to start a “Victory Garden.” Start with this small experiment and then move to a garden area and plant enough vegetables for your family to enjoy.

Fact or Opinion?

Fact or Opinion?

Happy Wednesday! I think Wednesdays are amazing because
“Wednesday” is spelled so crazily! But that is just my opinion. Oh, hey! Speaking of opinions, let’s practice with opinions (and facts) today. And for good measure, let’s measure some stuff in our houses. Then, we can measure some yeast and water and do some food science! Food science is the best! (That is also my opinion.)

Bones Take 2!

Bones Take 2!

Bones Take 2! Today we have a little more reading and writing about bones. If we do jumping math, we will use our bones and our brain! We can even use our hand bones to help us create art. If it’s okay with your grownup, you can hang up your art and make an art gallery.

Bones and Clocks and Chalk

Bones and Clocks and Chalk

Bones and Clocks and Chalk…Oh My!
Today, because it’s a beautiful Spring day, it makes sense to think about bones. Just kidding! No, but really…let’s do it. After all, we still have bones in the Spring, not just on Halloween! For some extra fun, we can practice telling time and maybe even drawing some chalk clocks. Have fun!

Hello, and welcome to ELO! This is a place to look every day you are learning at home to find activities and fun things to try. Home school may be new to you, so it is okay to take things slowly to begin. It is different than being at school with other students…it probably will not take as long for you to finish your work! Be sure to take some breaks and get up and move around. Try to go outside for at least 20 minutes each day if you can.

There is a lot happening in the world right now, and some of it can feel scary. Take a moment to think about something fun you have done at home. Can you call a friend or family member to share?
