Explain
What do you think is the difference between a person who has a healthy, well-balanced diet and a person who eats mostly junk food?
Draw a Venn Diagram to compare the two digestive systems. Try to list at least 5 things for each category.
Watch this short video about how our diet affects our gut.
Elaborate
Now, using what you have learned, CREATE a diagram of the digestive system, labeling its parts. You can do this in a few different ways:
Option 1: Draw, label, and color on paper.
Option 2: Go outside and use chalk, have someone outline your body. Then draw in the organs of your digestive system and label (get some Vitamin D while you’re at it)
Option 3: Using items found around the house, create a 3D diorama of the digestive system’s organs. Examples of items include dried pasta, pipe cleaners, cotton balls, construction paper, string, an old apron as a base, toilet paper or paper towel used rolls, paint, etc.) You can also search images online for more ideas
