Get out and Move
Continue with your journal of daily activities. Perhaps try an actvity you haven’t tried in awhile. Four-square, hop-scotch, jump rope, or…?
Pause this video after each different movement and practice it before resuming the video. Make sure your student is trying his or her best to copy the moves in real time when you re-start the video.
If your student is struggling you can stand next to or behind them and help them do the moves by helping their arms or legs make the movements. For our students who struggle with mobility or motivation, try this from a seated position and just try to copy the hand motions. Remember, Foucs on having FUN!
Create an art campaign to help get kids to wash their hands. Draw or create a catchy PSA online to get your peers to WASH THOSE HANDS. Be creative. Also, create a 20 second song/poem/rhyme to help kids remember how to wash their hands. Maybe even create a video to help send your message.

Teaching at home
Have your student be as creative as possible while creating their campaign. Make sure they read about the scientific reasoning behind hand washing and then let their creativity run free with a 20 sec song, an art campaign or PSA, and a short story about a character that never washes their hands. This is a great activity to do together or even with younger siblings. Have fun!
