- Listen to the read-aloud called “How I Learned Geography”, Write about it in your journal.

Where do Mallard ducks live?
- When feeding baby ducks, 1/4 bag of feed is divided among 8 feeding bowls. How much of a feedbag will be in each bowl? Explain or show how you know. (5.NF.B.7)
- What birds do you see around your home? Sketch and color the different birds you see. Keep track of the type and number of birds you see during the day. Make a display of the data. Show someone and ask them what they learn by looking at your display.
- Ducks weigh far less than one might imagine. Find the weights of different kinds of ducks and put them in order from least to greatest. Mallard ducks migrate to different places. Read more about them here.

- Find somewhere around you that relates to the math you saw in the image. Take a picture or shoot a video. Send it our way!

MAP IT!
- Draw a map of your community. Include your house, school, nearest grocery store, and any other landmarks in your community for which you feel invisibily connected. Label as many roads as you can between those landmarks. Add a title and a compass rose.
