History

Research the life of someone who inspires you. Choose a historical figure (not someone you know personally!).

This website is a good place to start.

Then fill out this graphic organizer based on your research.

Write down a list of 5 things you admire about someone you know. Share that list with someone, maybe even the person you chose.

Have your student pick a parent, family member, or famous person. Ask them what are 2 things they like about that person. Have them ask “wh” questions if the person is nearby. What they like? When they were born? Where do they live or work? Where is their favorite place to eat? Etc.

Get Moving!

P.E. With Joe: Do this 30 minute at home workout with Joe from the UK. His goal is to keep everyone moving and fit during this time of “stay safe at home”.

First, have your child do some warm up stretches: 10-15 arm circles (front and backwards), 15 jumping jacks, running in place for 30 seconds, 10 leg squats, 10 push ups and sit ups then go to GoNoodle and have your child pick a couple of PE/Dance videos.

Draw it!

Try this directed drawing of a robin. You will need paper, a black pen, and colored pencils.

Use magazines, print pictures or draw a collage of your favorite person. Use the questions you asked to add pictures of things they like.
