APOLLO 13
Apollo 13 "A Successful Failure". Today, we will learn about another mission which attempted to make it to the moon, but didn’t. Although this mission was not as successful, it is still as interesting as Apollo 11, and the astronauts on the Apollo 13 mission were equally as incredible. If you get a chance to watch the movie “Apollo 13”, it does a great job of showing this inspirational story.

history

Last Friday was the 51st anniversary of the successful Apollo 11 mission which allowed the first man to walk on the moon. Today is the 50th anniversary of the explosion inside Apollo 13 which kept that mission from landing on the moon. Since that time, the Apollo 13 mission has come to be known as a “successful failure”. In 2-3 paragraphs, explain why the Apollo 13 mission was a successful failure. Give examples to prove your ideas.

First, have your child do some warm up stretches: 10-15 arm circles (front and backwards), 15 jumping jacks, running in place for 30 seconds, 10 leg squats, 10 push ups and sit ups then go to GoNoodle and have your child pick a couple of PE/Dance videos.

the arts

It might be hard to imagine, as we go about our normal lives (and our abnormal Covid 19 quarantine lives), that there are currently cosmonauts from all over the world orbiting over our heads in the International Space Station. With this link, you can spot the station and see where it is at this exact moment.
