Read/listen to the poem “The Moon” by Robert Louis Stevenson. Then do a brief analysis of the elements of poetry and the theme of the poem.

Scientific notation

Scientific Notation helps write large numbers in a shorter format. For example, it helps write the numbers that represent the vast distances in space! Watch this video and try writing some of these examples in scientific notation:

  1. The population of the world is about 7,117,000,000.
  2. The distance from Earth to the Sun is about 92,960,000 miles.
  3. The human body contains approximately 60,000,000,000,000 to
    90,000,000,000,000 cells.
  4. The mass of a particle of dust is 0.000000000753 kg.
  5. The length of the shortest wavelength of visible light (violet) is
    0.0000004 meters

Aril 7th will be a Super Moon. Go outside tonight and look toward the east. The moon will start to rise at about 7:30pm and will be at it’s highest point in the sky at midnight. Stay active and stay safe

Photograph the night sky

Go outside tonight and take some photographs of the night sky (weather permitting!)
