Watch Teacher Nicole read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”

Objective: Children will predict events in the story from prior exposure.

Coffee Filter Butterfly

Children will make a coffee filter butterfly using markers and water.

Objective: Children will work on pencil grip and control as they color the coffee filter as well as work on color identification.

Backyard Scavenger Hunt

Use the Backyard Scavenger Hunt Sheet to locate items outside.

Objective: Children will identify items in nature as well as identify items by their features.

Sensory Activity.
Objective: Children will engage their sense of touch as they explore different textures. This is also a great tummy time activity for infants.

Social Emotional

Children will play either Funny Faces or Feelings Memory to identify and discuss feelings.

Objectives: For children to be able to match feelings by pictures or by imitation.
